Happy St. David's Day
The leek is one of the national emblems of Wales, worn along with the daffodil (in Welsh, the daffodil is known as "Peter's leek", Cenhinen Bedr) on St. David's Day. According to one legend, King Cadwaladr of Gwynedd ordered his soldiers to identify themselves by wearing the vegetable on their helmets in an ancient battle against the Saxons that took place in a leek field.[1]

- Yes, I know that both formats are in widespread use, and AFAIK either is acceptable. Which is why we need something more than personal preference to change a stable acceptable format to a different one. I see you were reverted at Michael Carrick as well. If you want to take it to the talk page, or to WT:FOOTY, please feel free, but for the time being and without an adequate reason for changing it, I'll put it back to the stable version. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 18:17, 16 March 2018 (UTC)

Format conversions
Don't know what you're using for these url conversions of football club websites, like with this edit at Patrick Bamford, but the two urls you added just go to the news section of the club site. Please go back and check/fix them: a dead genuine original url is far, far, better than a dead never-existed url. Thanks, Struway2 (talk) 16:01, 5 April 2018 (UTC)

Yes, someone told me that last week or so after engaging in such a "move" at Adrien Rabiot several times. It's just my frustration speaking higher (than in should, of course!) for having to arrange the fields again, no vandalism there no sir.

WP:BLP of Baltic states, birth place are linked to Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania not to the soviet republics. It was occupation, not recognised by rest of the world. End of season
Please do not change the date in career stats tables to "end of season" - that can be confusing, so please instead use the date updated or the date of the last game. GiantSnowman 18:47, 14 May 2018 (UTC)

- @GiantSnowman and Mattythewhite: Agree with Mattythewhite. The point of that wording is to tell the reader how up-to-date the stats are. The precise "as of end of season" is considerably more informative than date of last match or date of update. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 07:47, 15 May 2018 (UTC)
