Edit to Redhead (musical)
Hi!
Previously, the page for the musical "Redhead" stated that Leonard Stone won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical, which is not the case, as seen on the pages for The 13th Annual Tony Awards and for Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical. I therefore changed Leonard Stone's status on the "Redhead" page from "Won" to "Nominated." Please feel free to cross-check the other pages. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2604:2000:1382:121:4433:5DB0:DC24:F7B7 (talk) 18:26, 17 March 2017 (UTC)
- According to the official Tony Award site, there was a tie in 1959 for Actor, Supporting or Featured (Musical), with Russell Nype and Leonard Stone both winning. IBDB (https://www.ibdb.com/broadway-production/redhead-2071/#awards) also shows Stone winning the 1959 Best Featured Actor in a Musical. The Wikipedia article on the 1959 Tony Awards is incorrect, and I will change it later today. And, because it is "the paper of record", I checked the New York Times for April 13, 1959. In an article by Sam Zolotow, he writes about the Tony Award ceremony, and states "Altogether 'Redhead' captured six Tonys...included in that number are...Leonard Stone, featured player....Inasmuch as Mr. Stone and Russell Nypewho appeared in 'Goldilock' were involved in a tie vote..." (REF: New York Times, April 13, 1959, page 36). Please check this out for yourself. (A copy of this post will be placed on the IP editor's talk page.) Flami72 (talk) 18:49, 17 March 2017 (UTC)
- For the record, here are the Playbill vault entries for Redhead (http://www.playbill.com/production/redhead-46th-street-theatre-vault-0000003113# Redhead) and Goldilocks (http://www.playbill.com/production/goldilocks-lunt-fontanne-theatre-vault-0000005085# Goldilocks). Hello, Flami. Can you tell if this is right, or is the editor perhaps thinking of a different version?: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Peter_Pan_(1954_musical)&diff=882303851&oldid=876171866 Even if it is, is it important enough to mention? Thanks for any advice. -- Ssilvers (talk) 19:02, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
- Will check either later tonight or over the weekend.Flami72 (talk) 20:45, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
- The mention of Cinderella in the plot simply confuses me, I can't see any relevance. Is there a very good source? Otherwise, I think removing the mention is exactly the correct action. (Peter Pan stands alone! I admit to being a fan of the show, and even, as an old lady, clapping for Tinker Bell in Act 2 in a local stage production...)
