Production country

The film's co-producer Shigeru Miyamoto stated "we were creating this movie in both Japan and the United States". The Australian Classification Board lists the "Country of origin" as both USA and Japan. AllMovie lists the Countries as Japan and United States. Franchise = sequel

In the article there is currently a statement which reads In November 2023, the chairman of Universal Studio Group, Donna Langley, described The Super Mario Bros. Movie as a franchise in a press release, hinting a potential sequel. with a source to where she said this.
