Curaçao national team page

Hi there, nice work you did on the Curaçao national team page, but is it possible to add references? It is actually a requirement on Wikipedia to cite your sources, so if you could please include references (They don't have to be in English, they can be in Dutch or Papiamento as well) then it would be much appreciated, and would also prevent other users from challenging and/or possibly deleting your work. Thank you in advance. (Subzzee (talk) 03:57, 15 January 2014 (UTC))[reply]

Hi (Lovevoetbal (talk)

My reference: I obtained the information through a book you buy on the island of curacao The name of book is HISTORIA DI FUTBOL DI KORSOU the author name is: Valdemar Marcha for more information to the book search in google.

Fernando Casanova

The page move was undiscussed and is potentially controversial; I have reverted you. Please use WP:RM in future. GiantSnowman 18:47, 24 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for February 11

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Club Barcelona Atlético, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Cesar Rodriguez and Francisco Reyes (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The article SV Vesta Stadion has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable football ground. No evidence of independent coverage in secondary sources as required by the WP:GNG. 3000 claims capacity makes it a pretty small local venue.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. A tag has been placed on Elio Benzale Guerrero, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Sir Sputnik (talk) 02:23, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Help in my articles for deletion please

The existence of the two people in question, and the veracity of what you've written about them is not in question here. However, Wikipedia has rules about which subjects may and may not have articles. For footballers there are two relevant guidelines in this respect. The general notability guideline, which covers all subjects, says that any subject which has received significant coverage in reliable sources may be included. In the context of athletes this means coverage going beyond the routine sports journalism that these two have received. The subject specific notability guideline on footballers says that any footballer who has played for their country's senior national team or in any of the fully professional leagues listed here may be included as well. At present, both of these article fail both guidelines. I hope that clears things up. Sir Sputnik (talk) 18:12, 22 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Will you please stop adding these flag icons in the infobox? The nationality of those managers is of no importance whatsoever. Please see MOS:FLAG. Drmies (talk) 01:31, 29 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Lovevoetbal, I have pointed you to the relevant policy a few times already, yet you keep sticking those flags back in. This is not a sticker book, it's an encyclopedia. We have pretty clear guidelines on the use of flag icons. Not in the infobox, for instance. In those lists of players they shouldn't be used either: flag icons are reserved for truly international representation, like the Olympics or the World Cup. In addition, you keep sticking them back in in the middle of a sentence: that makes the text very difficult to read. Finally, you undid the copy edits I made as well, reinstating poor English and incorrect capitalization. Your work on articles is appreciated, but it has to be done within our guidelines, and if you can't or won't play by those rules you will most likely be blocked: your edits are, simply put, disruptive. Drmies (talk) 17:15, 29 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Well, that may be so ("there were flags before"), but then those were also wrong. Advice: if you're being reverted, with an explanation in an edit summary and then on your talk page, don't go blindly reverting again, without any reason. And let's keep this conversation together, on this talk page. (Also, new messages on a talk page go at the bottom.). Thanks, Drmies (talk) 17:27, 29 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Leandro Bacuna. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Mattythewhite (talk) 18:01, 23 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, but Wikipedia articles are not reliable sources and a Facebook image isn't really sufficient either. In any case neither link explicitly supports your claim that he was capped in 2008 and 2009 or the number of his caps. Mattythewhite (talk) 18:23, 23 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
