You are invited to join the Wikimedia NYC community for our monthly WikiWednesday evening salon (7-9pm) and knowledge-sharing workshop at Babycastles gallery. We welcome the participation of our friends from the Free Culture movement and from all educational and cultural institutions interested in developing free knowledge projects. ...for your recommendation of the Slate article by Dariusz Jemielniak, which I found to be interesting and thought provoking. Some of what they wrote paralleled my own thinking, and other points were ones that I hadn't considered. Some were even ideas that I have disagreed with in the past, but stated in such a way that they gave me pause to rethink. I don't know if I'll change my mind about those, but I'll certainly consider them again. I don't know how I missed your invoking the article in the past, but I'm glad I caught your pitch this time. After I post this I'm going to see if I can find a cheap copy of their book.

I am being ATTACKED - WP:STALKING and WP:HARASSMENT by this person - User:Hullaballoo Wolfowitz for many months, he apparrently hates me and the visual arts. Please get this guy off my back. Thank you...Modernist (talk) 15:23, 5 July 2018 (UTC)

Please note that a short time ago Modernist was warned by NeilN about using invective like this to characterize ongoing content disputes [1], a warning Modernist has repeatedly disregarded. This comes out of a longrunning content dispute regarding the use of nonfree images of visual art, where Modernist is among those who strongly reject NFCC policy (see, for example, Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Visual arts#Under attack, and the related deletion discussions at Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2018 June 18 (where many of the disputed uses that Modernist advocated for have already been removed). The underlying issue is whether certain articles on the visual arts are exempt from (or subject to much more relaxed application of) basic WP:NFCC, WP:V, and WP:RS policies. With his side not prevailing in the dispute, he is again personalizing the issues rather than substantively addressing serious policy concerns. The Big Bad Wolfowitz (aka Hullaballoo). Wikimedia NYC invites you to attend a Wiki Loves Pride Edit-a-thon on Thursday, July 12th at Jefferson Market Library! Wiki Loves Pride is a global campaign to expand and improve LGBT-related content across all Wikimedia projects, in all languages. We are holding this year's event in July in order to support folx who want to contribute a photograph they took at one of NYC's many Pride events or edit an article about something they learned this June. Not sure what to contribute? No problem! We will have a list of articles that need your help. Our reserved picnicking area is by Bartel-Pritchard Square entrance, located at Prospect Park West and 15th Street. Question....

Hey, Brad - when you said my appeal was not persuasive, were you expecting an apology and/or a promise that I would not repeat that behavior? I will happily oblige 6 mos. from now since my behavior everywhere else on WP is nothing like that - and I've worked as a GA/FA reviewer & participant, an NPP reviewer, and AfC reviewer, a content creator, and a mentor, not to mention my work on Commons...so if you would please point out at least 5 of diffs that were used as evidence against me that justified my t-ban. I would be very appreciative, as it will help greatly for me to know what exactly I said/did that was so disruptive that it warranted my being silenced.
