*Delete per nom. Guessing that the bot recreated it because Polish-Teutonic War (1308–1309), (the same title with an en dash between the dates) also exists. We should delete that, too. - Eureka Lott 20:44, 5 September 2021 (UTC)

** That's correct. The bot's edit summary on Special:Diff/1019213358 says as much: "Redirecting to Polish-Teutonic War (1308–1309), because titles with en-dashes are hard to type (and resolving the double redirect to Teutonic takeover of Danzig (Gdańsk))." And yes, if you want AnomieBOT to not recreate the redirect, the way to do that is to delete the corresponding non-endash category too. September 5

This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on September 5, 2021.

Windows NT 7.0

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was withdrawn by nominator. Quick withdraw after realizing the intent of an edit warring IP. (non-admin closure) Jalen Folf (talk) 20:49, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not mentioned as an alternative name in target article. Jalen Folf (talk) 20:48, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of the debate. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page.

Polish-Teutonic War (1308-1309),

Previously deleted at Wikipedia:Redirects_for_discussion/Log/2021_April_14#Frederic_Rene_Coudert,_Jr, (the issue is the trailing comma), but recreated by AnomieBot about a week later. Taking this to RFD instead of G4 so that someone smarter than me can figure out why the bot recreated this. Hog Farm Talk 20:37, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was procedural close. RfD is not for requesting articles to be created. -- Tavix (talk) 18:29, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

All of these pages should be converted into an article to find something from 10 billion to 10 trillion. 176.88.30.25 (talk) 17:08, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Kutty Sippaigal

Not mentioned at the target, delete unless a justification can be provided signed, Rosguill talk 17:01, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete: The relationship between the redirect and its target is unclear. ―Susmuffin Talk 20:10, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Homeo

This seems like it would be more likely to be a misspelling of "Homo"; in the absence of a clear intended target, I think that deletion is probably the best option. signed, Rosguill talk 16:59, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Andrew Pullin

Delete. Fails WP:NBASE. He's also retired now so no chance of playing again. Engr. Smitty Werben 16:55, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Added Beno who last played in 2010. Engr. Smitty Werben 17:05, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete both per nom. Yes, there's old history, but it's a reflection of how WP:BASEBALL handles minor leaguers and the history is very unlikely to be useful. Neither of these are likely to be notable; this is a standard situation with minor league ballplayer redirects.

The original picante sauce

This feels almost like an ad, especially given that the content at the target supporting the claim that Pace invented "picante sauce" appears very poorly sourced. Delete. signed, Rosguill talk 01:49, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom. Rubbish computer Ping me or leave a message on my talk page 20:36, 22 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • I don't think the article does make the claim that Pace invented picante sauce, only that he called his salsa Picante Sauce, although I see how that claim can be read from the article. Elsewhere in the article it says the terms salsa and picante sauce are synonyms. In fact it is readily demonstrable that the term long predates 1947. Here is a recipe book (in German) from 1829, and a book in English from 1924. SpinningSpark 15:06, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. "The Original Picante Sauce" is a Pace product, not a marketing claim. SpinningSpark 18:45, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Going Nowhere (Kings of Leon song)

Delete. This is the working title of a barely notable or non-notable song. There is brief coverage here and in the band article. —  AjaxSmack  00:33, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Uruemqi Diwopu Airport

I must have missed these ones before. Regardless of whether Chinese does ü → ue or not, it definitely doesn't do it for one ü but not the other. This was caused by Eubot ignoring capital letters. HotdogPi 11:47, 28 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

UNC-Raleigh

The result of the discussion was withdraw former name for 2 years is a viable enough search term.. TonyBallioni (talk) 05:50, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Made up name that no one uses; is not a search term that would help the reader. If anything, a red link would be useful to let people know that there isn't a UNC-Raleigh. TonyBallioni (talk) 05:38, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was speedy delete. WP:R3. I fail to see the claim that this would mess up page history. Neither page has any meaningful history whatsoever SpinningSpark 14:53, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Implausible typo created by a page move - but as the article was only at this title for about a week, I don't think deletion would be too harmful here. Elli (talk | contribs) 04:29, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment . Here it was asserted that this "does not qualify for suppression, per WP:R3, as it would mess up the history of the page". Still, the common sense suggests deletion. Brandmeistertalk 07:01, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Scott McGee

According to the sources cited the plaintiff's surname is Magee, not McGee. I doubt many people look for information about a lawsuit by typing the plaintiff's (misspelled) name, and I bet those who type it are much more likely to be looking for Scott McGhee or Scott McGehee. But since AFAIK we don't create dab pages where none of the links listed match the page name, and searching for "Scott McGee" reveals there are lots of (non-notable) Scott McGees out there, leaving this a red link is the best option AFAICS. Windows 99

Previous RfDs for this redirect and similar redirects:

No longer mentioned at target. Unlikely to be used for a near future version of Windows. Jalen Folf (talk) 04:13, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Apparently, it is, or was, an illegal pirate of Windows 98SE. [1][2] It could eventually get a mention somewhere on Wikipedia, but delete for now. SpinningSpark 15:10, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep since it was an alternate name for Windows 98 SE. 176.88.30.25 (talk) 16:47, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • No, it wasn't. Read the first link I provided above. In any case, the relevant issue is that the target article no longer mentions it so the redirect is currently going to nothing. SpinningSpark 17:57, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete: This is an obscure piece of pirated software that is not mentioned in the target article. ―Susmuffin Talk 20:18, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Arrest of Tianna Arata

Delete redirect. An article was created on the named individual, who was accused (but not yet convicted) in participating in protests. The content was transferred to George Floyd protests in San Luis Obispo County, California, leaving a redirect. I removed the content from the larger article in accordance with our BLP policies, [3], an action which was supported at the BLP noticeboard. [4] As there is no mention of the protester in the remaining article, the residual redirect should be deleted. Kablammo (talk) 21:46, 28 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
