The 12313 / 12314 Sealdah Rajdhani Express connects Sealdah (Kolkata) to New Delhi via DurgapurAsansol Jn. - Dhanbad Jn.- Gaya Jn.- Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction. & Kanpur Central.This train runs everyday between these two cities. The train departs from Sealdah at 04.50 pm and reaches New Delhi on its subsequent day at 10.25 am and the Sealdah bound train departs from New Delhi at 04.25 pm and reaches Sealdah at 10.10 am on its next day. It is the third Rajdhani Express that runs from West Bengal to the Capital of India, the other two being Howrah Rajdhani Express, One via Patna Jn. & other via Gaya Jn.. It is the second fastest Rajdhani to West Bengal and the third fastest train to Kolkata after Howrah Rajdhani Express and Sealdah Duronto Express. [1]

It is hauled by WAP 7 locomotive of Howrah electric loco shed from end to end.

Coach composition

Pure LHB Coaches in Red-Grey, manufactured in India, are used for this train.

  • It consists of thirteen Third AC (3A), three Second AC (2A), one Pantry Car (PC), one First AC (1A) and two Generator cum luggage cum guard van. That is in total of 20 coaches.
  • The Primary Maintenance of the rake takes place in Sealdah, while the Secondary Maintenance takes place in New Delhi.
  • There are three refurbished Swarna Rakes, which are used by Eastern Railways for Sealdah Rajdhani Express.
