Kuhestan District (Template:Lang-fa) is in Tonekabon County, Mazandaran province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Gol-e Aliabad,[2] whose population at the 2016 National Census was 598 in 230 households.[3]

In 2019, Baladeh-ye Sharqi Rural District was established in Khorramabad District. Do Hezar and Seh Hezar Rural Districts were separated from the district to form the new Kuhestan District, in which Miyandaman Rural District was also established.[2]
