Malik (Template:Lang-pnb) is a Punjabi Muslim tribe of Kakazai Pashtun descent, inhabiting parts of Punjab, Hazara region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Kashmir in Pakistan. They are descendants of the 18th-century Pashtun emigrants to the Punjab, originating from northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly of Dir and Malakand.[citation needed] They also, sometimes, refer to themselves as Malik Kakazai.

Despite Pashtun roots, they have been assimilated into the Punjabi society and tribal system. A significant number of Maliks reside in Sialkot, as well as Rawalpindi.
