The Delhi Daredevils (DD) are a cricket team based in Delhi, India. They play in the Indian Premier League (IPL), and are one of the eight teams that competed in the 2017 Indian Premier League.

Auction

The players auction for the 2017 Indian Premier League was originally scheduled to be held in Bangalore on 4 February 2017,[1] but was pushed forward by at least two weeks due to the BCCI–Lodha committee stand-off.[2] On 3 February, the BCCI announced that the auction will be held on 20 February in Bangalore and that a total of 799 players have signed up for it.[3] On 14 February, the IPL Desk released a list of 351 players.[4]

In April 2017, the Daredevils also signed up Australian Ben Hilfenhaus as a replacement for JP Duminy who withdrew from the season due to personal reasons. Quinton de Kock was also ruled out of the tournament in March 2017 due to an injury, but no replacement has been named for him yet.
