Mitron (transl. Friends; Hindi pronunciation: [mɪt̪ɾoːn])[2] is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film produced by Vikram Malhotra, it is the official remake of the 2016 Telugu film Pelli Choopulu. Mitron was presented by Abundantia Entertainment and directed by Nitin Kakkar of Filmistaan fame.[3] Set in the backdrop of the Gujarati milieu, the film traces the journey of Jay (Jackky Bhagnani) and Avni (Kritika Kamra), as they set on the path of finding themselves amidst their social and cultural backgrounds. The film also stars Pratik Gandhi and Neeraj Sood in pivotal roles. The film was released on 14 September 2018.[4]
Plot
Jai "Jackky Bhagnani", born and brought up with middle-class values, has a 'take it easy' approach to life. Since he doesn't believe in a herd mentality, he and his two best friends, Raunak "Pratik Gandhi" and Deepu "Shivam Parekh" start looking for unique ways to make it big in the world. During this trial and error phase, Jai realizes his dream. But his decision of choosing an unprofitable career path doesn't go down too well with his father "Neeraj Sood", who has bigger aspirations for him. Therefore, in order to bring stability to his life, his father decides to get him married. Destiny, however, has something else in store for Jai, when he accidentally meets Avni "Kritika Kamra", an ambitious, MBA graduate, who wants to start her own business. Set in the backdrop of the Gujarati milieu, the film traces Jai and Avni's personal journey, as they both find themselves and discover the true meaning of friendship in the bargain

Production
It is a remake of the 2016 Telugu film Pelli Choopulu.[4] The film was shot in various cities of Gujarat including Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and Siddhpur.[5][6]

Tanishk Bagchi, Yo Yo Honey Singh, Vayu, Sameer Uddin, Lijo George-DJ Chetas, Shaarib-Toshi and Abhishek Nailwal composed the soundtrack of the film. Yo Yo Honey Singh, Atif Aslam, Darshan Raval, Jubin Nautiyal, Sonu Nigam, Nikhita Gandhi, Bappi Lahiri and Raja Hasan rendered their voice for the soundtrack of the film. Lyrics are written by Hommie Dilliwala, Vayu, Tanishk Bagchi, Kumaar, Kalim Shaikh and Akshay Verma.
Tanishk Bagchi recreated Chalte Chalte Yoon Hi Koi song of 1972 film Pakeezah, in the voice of Atif Aslam.
