Streets Is Watching is the soundtrack for the film of the same name.[2] It was released on May 12, 1998 by Roc-A-Fella Records and Def Jam Recordings. The album helped served as a promotion of the up-and-coming artists on the label. The album fared well commercially reaching #3 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and having two singles ("It's Alright" and "Love For Free") appear on The Billboard Hot 100. It has notable appearances from Jay-Z, Memphis Bleek, Ja Rule, Noreaga, Sauce Money, and DMX. Production is handled by a large array of artists including Dame Dash, Big Jaz and M.O.P..
