Parsons was born in Berkshire and educated at Magdalen College, Oxford.[2] He was Rector of Walton-on-the-Hill[3] from 1640 and Archdeacon of Gloucester from 1666, holding both positions until his death at Walton on St. Stephen's day, 1671.[4]
