Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani International Airport (IATA: KER, ICAO: OIKK), previously known as Kerman International Airport, is an airport in Kerman, Iran. The airport is used for commercial, general aviation and military training purposes. Flights began operating in 1970.[2]
On 10 June 2017, the airport renamed to its current name in honour of former president, Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, who was born and raised in Kerman.
Mahan Air flight crew's simulator centre and cabin crew training centre is located at Kerman INTL Airport. It is also the main hub for Bootia-Mahan Aviation College [3] for commercial pilot training purpose for Mahan Air's cadet pilot program.
