Barbara Visser
Barbara Visser (born 16 August 1977 in Šibenik, Croatia) is a Dutch politician and the current State Secretary for Defense. As a member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (Volkspartij voor Vrijheid en Democratie) she has been an Member of the Second Chamber since 20 September 2012.
Visser was born in Šibenik, Croatia, at the time part of SFR Yugoslavia into a mixed Dutch-Croatian family. From 2006 to 2010, she was a municipal councillor of, and also from 2010 to 2012, an alderman of Zaanstad.
