Until further sources are found making assumptions to cast doubt on Dresser's assertion is not warranted. undo Tag: Undo

Another says he never spoke in Parliament. The seeming inconsistency needs pointing up. I don't know of a source to justify Dresser's claim. Does anyone, please? undo

  • curprev 20:5120:51, 22 June 2020DrThneed talk contribs 6,627 bytes +353 I have replaced the text removed by Obscurasky. The source says that the Benjamin Bathurst who was MP from 1713–1767 supported slavery. That is the Benjamin Bathurst on this page, not his father who died in 1704. I have added the direct quote to the reference to assist. This reference is a book on Slavery and the English Country House written and edited by professional historians. If you wish to dispute that this Benjamin Bathurst supported slavery then please provide refs. undo Tag: Visual edit

His father, who was also Benjamin and an MP, supported the slave trade - possibly a source of confusion. undo
