Ljubljanica River in Dol pri Borovnici

Borovniščica Creek (pronounced [bɔɾɔu̯ˈniːʃtʃitsa]) is a stream that originates in the hills west of Gorenje Otave[1] and flows to the north through Hell Gorge (Template:Lang-sl), creating a series of waterfalls,[1][2] and then through the village of Borovnica.[3] It then flows across the Ljubljana Marsh, where it joins the Ljubljanica River as a right tributary. The upper course of the creek separates the Rakitna Plateau (Template:Lang-sl, to the east) from the Logatec Plateau (Template:Lang-sl, to the west).[4]

Name

Borovniščica Creek is named after the village of Borovnica.
