Cynthia Carmen Burbridge-Bishop (born on May 8, 1979) also known as Cindy Sirinya or Sirinya Burbridge is a Thai-American model, beauty pageant titleholder, event host and actress in Thailand.

Biography

Burbridge was born and raised in Pattaya, Chonburi, Thailand by American father, William Burbridge and British-Indian Thai mother, Patricia.

Education

Burbridge attended Bangkok University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications Arts.

Career

Burbridge started diving at the age of 5 and through this landed her first modelling contract for an underwater commercial shoot for a diving equipment store.[1]

In 1996, Burbridge won the Miss Thailand World pageant and represented Thailand in the Miss World pageant in Bangalore, India.[2][3]

After the pageant, she entered the entertainment industry and worked on high profile commercials for Celine, Chanel, Omega, Gucci, Fendi, Lux, Samsung and Mazda. She is also the owner of "Mama's Secret", a line of beauty products for women. She has also been featured and covered in various national magazines such as Image, Numéro and Vogue.

Burbridge's work in films include The King Maker, which she was nominated for best supporting actress at 2005 Suphanahong Awards in Thailand. Feature Film, All I See is You, which Burbridge participated in is due out in 2016. She has also starred in numerous Thai drama series such as Gossip Girl: Thailand[4] playing the role of Lily Van Der Woodsen, The OC Thailand (a Thai adaptation from the original US Series), A House of Mad Souls, Clueless, and From Dreams to Eternity. Besides film and television, Burbridge also hosted various TV programmes including Channel [V] International as VJ and is known to be one of the top event host in the Asia region.[5]

In 2015, Burbridge joined Asia's Next Top Model as the host and headjudge of Cycle 4 alongside Indonesian model Kelly Tandiono as the model mentor and America's Next Top Model's Yu Tsai as the creative consultant.

Personal Life

Burbridge married longtime boyfriend, actor Byron Bishop, in July 2005, whom together have two children, Leila Carmen and Aiden William. She has been actively involved in community service projects throughout Thailand by using her celebrity status to raise awareness for the Fin Free Thailand campaign, which aims to stop the consumption of shark fin. Furthermore, she actively volunteers at the Pattaya Orphanage and Camillian Home for Disabled Children.
