COLUMBUS III is a 9900 km transatlantic telecommunications cable. It has 90 repeaters. In service since 1999, it is owned by over 30 carriers. It transfers 20 Gbit/s on each of the 2 fibre pairs.

It has landing points in:

  2. Ponta Delgada, Azores Islands, Portugal
  3. Lisbon, Portugal
  4. Conil, Spain
  5. Mazara del Vallo, Sicily, Italy
