Doraemon: Nobita and the Galaxy Super-Express (ドラえもん のび太と銀河超特急 Doraemon Nobita to Ginga Ekusupuresu), also known as Doraemon and the Galaxy Express, is a feature-length Doraemon film which premiered in Japan on March 2, 1996. The film is a homage of Leiji Matsumoto's Galaxy Express 999. It's the 17th Doraemon film. The film was directed by Tsutomu Shibayama.
In the park where they normally meet, Suneo is bragging to Gian and Shizuka about tickets that he has acquired for an Express Train. He tells the two of them that he only has three tickets, and it is his intention not to invite Nobita. Nobita then appears looking very worried, and asks the others whether they have seen Doraemon as he has been missing for a few days.
Nobita returns home, delighted to see that Doraemon is back. Doraemon explains that he had briefly returned to the 22nd Century and had acquired tickets for a Mystery Galactic Express Train. The train's destination is unknown, and Doraemon doesn't know how long the trip will take either. After Nobita expresses concerns about missing school, Doremon reassured him that he will be able to go to school in the day and then ride the train at night by using the Anywhere Door (Dokodemo Doa) to travel between home and the train.
The following day, Nobita goes to school and tells his friends all about the Mystery Galactic Express Train, and invites them to come with him on the train, only to realise that it will clash with Suneo's plans. Both Gian and Shizuka want to go with Nobita. Suneo is jealous and is angry that his friends would go with Nobita rather than with him. He warns them that space is a dangerous place, and going with Nobita would be unsafe. Gian and Shizuka consider what to do. They decide to go with Nobita, although Shizuka in particular feels sorry for Suneo. When the two of them turn up at Nobita's house, they're surprised to see that Suneo is there already as he has decided to come with Nobita as well.
The mysterious galactic express train is a train that has 58 carriages though only 8 carriages are visible from outside. It has 5 rooms in each carriage. Nobita and his friends are staying in Carriage no. 7.
Once the train reaches its destination (a planet), it separates the carriages in one another and lands on an empty spot. The friends disperse in different play planets and enjoy. Nobita and Doraemon enjoy shooting lessons while Gian and Suneo face misery in learning Ninja techniques.
Meanwhile, an evil force, called Yadori, is planning to take over the planet with the humans together, turning the humans into parasites. A few days later, the first case of parasites is reported when Nobita and his friends are on the Dinosaur planet and the robot-dinosaurs start acting strangely. They decided to report it to the Galaxy Control station in the Dinosaur Planet but the actual controls are in the main control center in the main planet. When Nobita and his friends decide to go to the main station, the captain reveals that it's difficult as they can't find contact with the main control center.
Nobita and his friends go to check what happened, and they find out some smoke coming out from the main control center. When Gian and Suneo are in the main control center, investigating what happened, Suneo is captured by the parasites and is turned into Yadori No. 009.
Suneo (Parasite No. 009) trick his friends by telling them a safe place to hide, which is their own carriage, Suneo then locks them up. Yadori No. 007 , the future friend of Nobita, reveals that Yadori i set to conquer the galaxy. After, the group leaves, Suneo is hit from an anti-Yadori gun and the captain of the train saves Nobita and the others inside.
The captain later founds out about this and decided to get the train onto another planet to be safe, but one of the Yadori parasites empties half of the fuel on the train, so the train would lands in a nearby spot where they could capture the humans.
The train departs the next day but crash lands on a planet, where it has turned upside down. As they explore the planet, they found out a nearby abandoned village which has factories with lots of food and water for them to survive. The captain finds an electronic cave map but the conductor deems it useless. Gian overhears the conversation and used the cave map to explore caves, but ends up he got lost. He meets up with 2 future people but they also don't know the way out,and the cave entrance is buried.
Shizuka finds an anti-Yadori gun which turns parasites back into humans, they decided to use it on Suneo. Meanwhile, Doraemon and Nobita go for delivering food to Suneo but Nobita is also parasited. However, he and Suneo later recover and turn back to the human form minutes later.
The group finds that Gian is missing but they relocate him through his footprints. They manage to get the train out of the mountain and Nobita and his friends are overjoyed. They attach the train that Gian found into the mysterious galactic express train. But when they are preparing to leave, the whole Yadori group finds them and attacks them. A huge robot attacks the group but Nobita shoots him with the anti-Yadori gun. The group defeats Yadori and flees all the people from the virus and the president thanks the group. Nobita and his friends sit in the train and bid the people of the planet farewell.
The future kids reconcile with Nobita and his group. The friends have a laugh and their planet arrives. The conductor thanks them for coming and asks them to come later whenever they like in the Galaxy Express.
