In the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game, the dracolisk is a type of fictional monster.

Publication history

The dracolisk first appeared for the first edition rules in the adventure module The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth (1982),[1] and was reprinted in the original Monster Manual II (1983),[2]

The dracolisk appeared in the second edition in Monstrous Compendium Two (1989) under the "basilisk" entry, and was reprinted in the Monstrous Manual (1993).

The dracolisk appeared for the Dungeons & Dragons third edition rules in Dungeon #151 (October 2007).

Description

The dracolisk is a rare crossbreed of dragon and basilisk. Dracolisks, in addition to their petrification attack, also have the breath weapon of their parent dragon, e.g., a dracolisk with a red dragon parent would have fiery breath whereas a dracolisk with a black dragon parent would have acidic breath.

Other publishers

The dracolisk appeared in the Tome of Horrors (2002) from Necromancer Games.[3]
