In human mitochondrial genetics, Haplogroup Y is a human mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) haplogroup.

Haplogroup Y was found in South Siberian populations with a frequency of 1%.[1] However, this haplogroup was found with high frequency among the Ainu and the Nivkhi.
