In the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game, the hellcat is a type of evil creature related to devils.

Publication history

The hellcat first appeared in the original first edition Fiend Folio (1981).[1]

The bezekira (hellcat) appeared in second edition Advanced Dungeons & Dragons in the Monstrous Compendium Fiend Folio Appendix (1992).[2] The hellcat appeared for the Planescape setting in the Planes of Law boxed set (1995).[3]

The hellcat appeared in the third edition Monster Manual (2000),[4] and the hellcat (bezekira) also appeared in the revised 3.5 Monster Manual (2003).

Description

A hellcat is an infernal, incorporeal, sometimes invisible cat-like creature the size of a tiger that also has telepathic abilities.
