Lafarge Lake–Douglas will be the SkyTrain terminus station of the planned Evergreen Extension of the Millennium Line to Coquitlam, in Metro Vancouver, Canada. It will be located just northeast of the Pinetree Way / Guildford Way intersection, and will serve the David Lam campus of Douglas College and Coquitlam Town Centre. Work to prepare for the construction of Lafarge Lake–Douglas Station began in early July with on-going construction today.[1]
Timeline
As of January 2014, the whole area of the future station has been fenced off and has been a construction site since August 2013. Work is advancing with utility work and foundations for the support structures of the guideway for the line under construction.
As of mid-April, two support structures for the station have been constructed.
Other Details
Construction of the Evergreen Extension began in the summer of 2012. The extension is expected to open for service in early 2017.
