Lego Star Wars is a video game series based on the eponymous toy line created by the Lego Group based on the Star Wars movies.

History

  • Lego Star Wars: The Video Game (Game Boy Advance, GameCube, Microsoft Windows, OS X, PlayStation 2, Xbox) – Based on the Star Wars prequel trilogy, first released on 29 March 2005.
  • Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (Game Boy Advance, GameCube, Microsoft Windows, Nintendo DS, OS X, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Xbox, Xbox 360) – Based on the Star Wars original trilogy, first released on 11 September 2006.
  • Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga (Android, iOS, Microsoft Windows, Nintendo DS, OS X, PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360) – Compilation of the first two games, first released on 6 November 2007.
  • Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars (Microsoft Windows, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo DS, OS X, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Wii, Xbox 360) – Based on the Star Wars: The Clone Wars film and animated series, first released on 22 March 2011.
  • Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens (iOS, Microsoft Windows, Nintendo 3DS, OS X, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One) – Based on the Star Wars: The Force Awakens film, first released on 28 June 2016.

Reception

Traveller's Tales president Jon Burton stated in a July 2008 interview with Variety that the series had collectively sold 15 million copies.[1] In May 2009, Wired reported combined sales of 20 million.[2] All the games were included in the Player's Choice, Platinum Hits, and Greatest Hits budget lines.
