Line 2 is the main north-south line of Suzhou Rail Transit. The length of first phase is 26.557 km, among them, 6.57 km is elevated, 19.146 km is underground and 0.67 km is open wide. The line's first phase started from Suzhou North Railway Station (高铁苏州北站) and ended in Baodaiqiao South Station (宝带桥南站) near Baodai Bridge (宝带桥). The line goes across five districts of Suzhou, including 22 stations(17 underground, 5 overhead). The first phase part was started to operation on December 28, 2013.[1]

The length of second phase is 14.347 km, which started from Qihe Station (骑河站) to Fuxiang Lu Station (富翔站) for north expand section, and Yinzhong Lu Station (尹中路站) to Sangtiandao Station (桑田岛站) for east expand section. The second phase part was started to trial operation on September 24, 2016.[2]

Fares

Fares start at 2.00 Yuan (¥) and can take 6 kilometers (km), 6 km to 16 km every additional 1.00 Yuan (¥) can take 5 km, 16 km to 30 km every additional 1 Yuan (¥) can take 7 km, 30 km and above every additional 1 Yuan (¥) can take 9 km, so the whole journey of Line 2 is 8 Yuan (¥).
