Lisburn West is a proposed railway station planned for the Knockmore area of Lisburn, County Antrim, Northern Ireland.[1] It would[speculation?] serve the Belfast–Newry railway line between Lisburn and Moira and possibly[speculation?] the Lisburn–Antrim railway line if it is reopened in the future.

History

The station development was announced in 2014,[citation needed] when Translink bought the South Eastern Regional College just outside Lisburn and demolished it in apparent preparation of the opening of the station.[citation needed] The work was scheduled to begin at the end of 2015 and complete during 2016,[citation needed] however, as of September 2016, no further announcements have been made and no construction has begun.
