: CS1 maint: archived copy as title (link) - ^ The forerunner of the Maryland, College Park chapter was the Delta chapter of Sigma Phi Sigma, a small national it left in 1941. But this chapter in turn had, in 1916, evolved from a local fraternity called Iota Sigma.

- ^ The Wooster chapter's successor on campus was, at first, Tri-Kapp (local, 1913-1965), then due to negativity associated with those Greek letters, this group was renamed as Kappa Chi (local, 1965-2005), with a later faction splitting to form Omega Alpha Tau (local, 1976-~1995). As is the Wooster practice, these local fraternities called themselves with 'section' monikers, in this case, "VII Section". See List of fraternities and sororities at the College of Wooster
