Filip Borys Kubski, (born June 15, 1987) better known as NEO, is a Polish player of the Counter-Strike series who is currently the in-game leader for FaZe Clan.[1] NEO is considered one of the best players in Counter-Strike history[2] and one of the "Golden Five" group of Polish CS players who won many tournaments with a number of different esports teams.[3] He has also played for, AGAiN, Universal Soldiers, ESC Gaming, Frag eXecutors, Vitriolic, Wicked eSports, Meet Your Makers, and Pentagram G-Shock. Kubski has been playing professionally since 2004.[4]

In addition to being a great aimer and highly intelligent player, Kubski is also highly regarded for his mastery of Counter-Strike 1.6's in-game movement. His ability to perform difficult movements and access areas of maps that are unreachable by most[5][6] make him unpredictable and difficult to counter. In 2010, HLTVorg users voted Kubski the best Counter-Strike player of the previous decade.[7] He also won the eSports Award for eSports Player of the Year in 2007 and 2008, and was rated by as the best player of 2011[8] and NEO appeared in the Intel Extreme Masters Season X - Katowice World Championship in 2016 and placed 5-8th.[9][10]
