Pangarap na Bituin (lit. The Star We Dreamt) is a Filipino primetime television series produced by ABS-CBN from September 3, 2007 to December 7, 2007. On Monday (September 3, 2007) as 97.8% the series was a regional semi-finalist for the 2008 International Emmy Awards under the Telenovela Program category.[1]

This is also the 2nd Highest rating Musical Primetime Series after Bituing Walang Ningning in 2006 one year later and also considered a Sineserye because of its similar adaptation to the 1986 film released on 30 July Sana'y Wala Nang Wakas by Viva Films (starring Sharon Cuneta, Dina Bonnevie and Cherie Gil together with Tonton Gutierrez) the movie and the TV series have different storylines but both stories revolve around a trio of female singers struggling to follow their dreams above animosities revolving the difficult world of showbiz trying not to break upon their bonds.

Rio Locsin and Joel Torre reunited since Gulong ng Palad back in 2006 where they played Luisa's parents Idad and Tomas Santos.

Synopsis

The Jewel Sisters, a singing pop trio who will walk the royal yet sometimes rocky road to fame. After the tragedy that left their biological parents seemed dead, Sapphire, Emerald, and Ruby are accidentally separated from one another. But one dream will make their paths cross, and together, they will make music that fans all over the country will deeply adore.

At first, they will all think that their love for one another as sisters will see them through the challenging life as celebrities. But little did they know that there is more to dream than the wealth and glory. Sapphire is willing to do whatever it takes to get ahead and be with Terrence Rodriguez. Emerald falls in love with Terrence, but the manipulative manager Alberta will stand against their love. But, Emerald and Terrence secretly became boyfriend and girlfriend without anyone knowing except for Cocoy, adoptive father of Emerald. Ruby will battle with her own insecurities to gain the self-esteem she needs.

During the last episode, Bridgette Ramirez revealed the real Sapphire Gomez and the real Mother of the Jewel Sisters.
