Location of Shiwa District in Iwate Prefecture

Shiwa (紫波郡, Shiwa-gun) is a district located in Iwate, Japan.

As of 2003, the district has an estimated population of 60,586 and a density of 197.79 persons per km². The total area is 306.31 km².

There are two towns within the district.
