Sjoerd Wiemer Sjoerdsma (born July 10, 1981 in Eindhoven) is a Dutch politician of the Democrats '66 (D66) political party. He has become a member of the Dutch House of Representatives (Tweede Kamer) on September 20, 2012, after having been elected in the September 12th general election. Prior to being elected he worked a diplomat for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During his period as a diplomat he was posted to the Embassies in Belgium and Afghanistan, and to the Permanent Representation to the Palestinian Authority.
