Slauson is an elevated light rail station on the Los Angeles County Metro Rail Blue Line. [1] It consists of one island platform on the elevated Blue Line right-of-way over Slauson Avenue in the unincorporated community of Florence.
The Slauson station was built on the site of a major junction of the Pacific Electric Railway's Southern Division, where the Whittier, Fullerton and La Habra lines split off from the Watts, Long Beach, San Pedro and Balboa lines. This was called Slauson Junction.
Under current plans, the station will also be served by the West Santa Ana Branch Transit Corridor, one of the Twenty-eight by '28 projects Metro aims to have online by the 2028 Summer Olympics.[2]
The Slauson/I-110 Station of the Metro Silver Line is located around 3 miles west of the station. Passengers may use the westbound Metro Local lines 108 or 358 and get off at Slauson Avenue and Broadway Avenue to connect to the Silver Line.
