Swami Shraddhanand College is a part of Delhi University established in 1967, run under the trusteeship of the Delhi government. Named after Arya Samaj educationist, Swami Shraddhanand, the college is in Alipur, in North West Delhi,. The college is one of the premier institutions of Delhi University. It is equipped with qualified teaching staff specialized laboratories and adequate library facilities.

In 2006, the college came made news for appointing four differently abled teachers.[1]Swami Shrdhanand College started at Gandhi Asram Narela in 1967, and 93 biga Land give to Swami Shardhnan College Management Committee at Singhu Border by Pardan Sh.Sunder lal khatri (Bankner)Free of Cost account of Gram Sabha Land Mamurpur Narela Delhi 110040.

Student life

The college has extensive playgrounds, which provide an excellent opportunity for athletes to participate in games and sports and to improve their skills. For the linguistically inclined, the college runs courses in French, German and Russian.

Scholarships are given to deserving students. A number of prizes are awarded to students on their achievements in academic and extracurricular activities. For each subject, there is a society to stimulate the interest of the students in the subject.

There is no hostel facility. There are around 800 seats in the college.

It is among the handful of colleges which has a human rights club, where students work for the rights of women, underprivileged groups and slum dwellers.
