Vitamin fortifying Little Debbie products[edit]

The cheap but good multivitamins online are 2.55 ¢ each (kind of) Thus a 10 or 20 pt of USRDI on most vitamins could be just a tenth to a fifth of a ¢ to add to each Little Debbie product vastly improving their nutritional value

I mean a tenth of a ¢ per cake is less than an entire ¢ per 1.79 thingy

Old discussions[edit]

Hopefully someone can find a link or other proof regarding the popularity of Little Debbie snacks among incarcerated folks stuck inside prisons. Unable to recall the source but it was reputable enough for the information to stick in my mind for several years. Specifically, prison inmates buy a lot of Little Debbie snacks from the inside-the-prison commissary and that the Honey Bun is the single most popular Little Debbie product. This may be trivial information but I find it interesting and since the Little Debbie post is so short it can't harm anything to include some interesting trivia.I do not believe this trivia snippet is disparaging of Little Debbie products. I was was watching the prison documentary series "Lock Up" on MSNBC and when they were touring the (I think but I'm not sure) Kentucky facility, a lady in the prison snack store was being interviewed and describing all the different types of Honeybuns the prisoners would buy with their work credit. I've been a McKee employee for nearly 20 years.

O.D. stands for Oather Dorris.

Now, in all fairness, wouldn't you prefer O.D.?

SDA Link[edit]

Mckee Foods has no affiliation with the Seventh Day Adventist Church, therefore, all linkage to the SDA church should be removed. The private beliefs of the owners have no place being included in an informative article. If the beliefs of the owners are to be considered, they should be in a seperate article specifically about the owners.

If the company management stipulated that their logos are not to be displayed on sponsored race cars and crew uniforms on Saturdays as is mentioned (and sourced) in the article, I would say that the link to Seventh Day Adventism is germane to an article about the company.SEWalk (talk) 02:00, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Seventh-day Adventism Info Box[edit]

I see no reason to add the {{Seventh-day Adventism}} info box or the ==see also== link to the to this wiki page. There is already a mention of the religious affiliation under the Little Debbie section. No additional information or insight is gained from having the info box. Other large companies that have religious affiliation do not include such info boxes in their respective wiki pages. For example, Chick-fil-A doesn't need to include an info box for Southern Baptist, why would an even smaller wiki page need it? Triesault (talk) 23:58, 16 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Concur. Other than Sabbath restrictions, there's nothing obviously SDA about the business, and it's not owned by any church-related entity. You two are wrong since it's been owned by a Seventh-day Adventist family for many decades, which makes it a Seventh-day Adventist company. That is plain and simple. So I added the small portal box back in, but leaving the big one out.Catfurball (talk) 19:32, 17 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed it again. This has nothing to do with "hating religion portal boxes". The Chick-fil-a example is a good one, because it is also owned by a religious family, in this case Baptist, and the business is closed on Sundays because of the family's religious beliefs. But that page doesn't include denominational navboxes and portals, and this one should not also. However, if you can cite reliable published sources that the SDA as a whole, or one of its churches, is involved in the running or ownership of the company, or owns a stake in the business, we can revisit this then.
