Someone has put link brackets around every name on the guest list. Some of the guests are not notable by Wikipedia standards. In particular, some names listed are linked to pages about unrelated people who happen to have the same name. Editors should do proper research. Avt tor (talk) 16:35, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The rule isn't to not put in any redlinks, but if someone isn't likely to be notable, then it is best to leave a redlink off. But if they are fairly likely to pass the notability test if an article were created, redlink away. —Tom Morris (talk) 09:21, 29 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

2 references removed

[edit]

A few months ago (in June) Avt tor removed 2 references from the article. Not sure what others think of the removal. --EarthFurst (talk) 23:15, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Meh. I build the historical convention table pretty mechanically, which is why there were so many redlinks. Avt was right to remove them; I probably should have when I previewed the copy/paste into the page. I simply didn't bother. --coldacid (talk|contrib) 05:03, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Recentism

[edit]

I have just removed the {{recentism}} template as the article doesn't actually seem slanted towards recent events anymore - the template includes mention of all the years of the event since it started. —Tom Morris (talk) 09:24, 29 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
