[edit]208.57.68.160 17:23, 1 August 2006 (UTC) Much as I truly love the "Blood for cream" fantasy, I removed the quote because it was completely inaccurate and paraphrased. If anyone has the correct dialogue, please feel free to add it back. I'll keep an eye out for this episode in order to fix it. - Ben

[edit]For some reason, the Guest star for this episode was listed as Michael Caine, when in reality it was James Caan. I changed all references, and also removed the following trivia, which becomes unrelated after the changes: "*The Simpsons tried to get Michael Caine in the season 5 episode Homer and Apu, but he declined. While James Woods played the part, a Caine-esque character appeared in Burns' Heir voiced by Dan Castellaneta." Moophl 18:40, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
I worked to clean up this episode page. I removed the uncited viewer numbership, and took the guest star listing out of the opening sentence. It is now nearly identical in format to Homer to the Max. If anyone has any other problems with it, feel free to edit, but I'm going to remove the cleanup notice. --Icetitan17 19:39, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

OK, this is my first review. I will run a copy-edit and then comment on any queries I still have. This whole process shouldn't take long because this is shorter than many other candidates I've been looking at. Anarcho-authoritarian (talk) 02:20, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
Just a comment before I look at the sources. I remember the Godfather parody being verily shoddily censored in the UK (where the show is broadcast at 6pm and thus has to be appropriate for children). There's a reference here. Anarcho-authoritarian (talk) 02:54, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
There's a joke Marge made about not even the Pope being able to forgive the sabotaged pizza even though "he's letting a lot of things slide these days". I thought this would have been a big deal because a) the presence of conservative Catholic groups criticising The Simpsons (see Lisa Gets an "A") and b) could be seen as "too soon" after the abuse scandals. However, the only reference I could find comes from a peculiar website listing every mention of pizza on the Simpsons (and in this season there were strangely a lot). Have any of the reviews mentioned the lack of continuity in this episode, that no ageing happens in the two years and by the next episode the kitchen is back to normal. I know it confused me Anarcho-authoritarian (talk) 02:54, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
Some more detail could be added on that Thomas Pynchon is a recluse and this is among the only recordings of his voice in existence. There are more details on Diatribe of a Mad Housewife and Thomas Pynchon#2000s; the latter has some interesting stuff on him refusing to record a line insulting Homer. Anarcho-authoritarian (talk) 02:54, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
Most Simpsons Good Articles include references from the audio commentaries. There is a season 16 DVD so a commentary does exist. There'd probably be a lot on there that is unavailable anywhere else, and could expand the article. But I understand that if the rest of the article is sufficient I can't force you to spend twenty dollars on it Anarcho-authoritarian (talk) 02:54, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
I'll review the sources later Anarcho-authoritarian (talk) 02:54, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
@Anarcho-authoritarian: Thank you so much for taking up this review, Ill get right on it!. AmericanAir88 (talk) 03:57, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
@Anarcho-authoritarian: I cannot really talk about the lack of continuity. Most episodes of the Simpsons have things that are never brought back. Flanders Roof sawn off in Mr Plow, Homers car in the New York Episode, and Flanders Bomb Shelter. The list goes on. The lack on continuity is a run on gag. AmericanAir88 (talk) 13:50, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
Done
[edit]@Anarcho-authoritarian: All done with the present issues. Let me know if there are anymore. AmericanAir88 (talk) 14:07, 7 August 2018 (UTC) @Anarcho-authoritarian: Anything else you need me to do? AmericanAir88 (talk) 19:56, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
Hi, some good work here, especially finding a source from the book about religion in the Simpsons! The review from duffgardens.net is a dead link, that is the only problem I can find with the references. Anarcho-authoritarian (talk) 20:00, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
@Anarcho-authoritarian: Ill get right on it. AmericanAir88 (talk) 20:15, 7 August 2018 (UTC) @Anarcho-authoritarian: Done. AmericanAir88 (talk) 20:21, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
@AmericanAir88: I'm sorry but all captures of this page on the archive don't show any content. Is this just a technical problem on my end? Anarcho-authoritarian (talk) 20:50, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
@Anarcho-authoritarian: Its on your end. I see my recent edits. AmericanAir88 (talk) 20:53, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
@AmericanAir88: Although it won't load for me I assume good faith. Closing as a pass. Anarcho-authoritarian (talk) 21:30, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
