Article neutrality

[edit]

In addition to some really exaggerated language, like "Multifaceted personality" "excelled in making documentaries", "composing music is his passion", "very positive reviews", etc. The word "positive" appears 9 times. The word "negative" appears 0 times. Where's the balanced perspective that would cast this subject in a neutral light as opposed to portraying him as having never made a mistake in his career? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:07, 7 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Cyphoidbomb: I agree there are a large number of problems here. I came here because of the repeated use of "behindwoods.com". The article really looks like paid editing. I trimmed the entire gigantic discography as it had zero sources. Possibly (talk) 03:39, 27 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dubbed films

[edit]

Hello, ARMFR4GR. We don't add dubbed films as credits for composers. Now-a-days, literally every film is dubbed in various languages, it's pointless to mention them all. So restoring them by calling it "vandalism" is not appreciated. Thanks and regards -- Ab207 (talk) 18:45, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Ab207. I agree with your statement on this talk page and I apologize for restoring your edits for the reason of vandalism since you did not submit a justification for the bulk edit. Speaking of Dubbed versions of a work, most of the Dubbed films/works would be coordinated by the original artist(s). So Anirudh have done several contributions to the dubbed films from rerecording to arranging playback singers. As you mentioned, Nowadays literally every film is dubbed in various languages. But they're mostly considered as an official release from the respective makers. Even though the work is considered as an unofficial rerecording, we should give the credits to the original creator, due to the lack of sources. Furthermore, dubbed songs are available and distributed on the streaming platforms by the original record label itself, which holds the copyright for the original work. Ultimately, Other Artists have also got these dubbed versions in their Wikipedia pages. For an example, if we take A. R. Rahman, he have done so many dubbed films for other languages, especially for Tamil language. There are so many sources available on the Internet for your references to your dispute.

Therefore, We'll revert this edit. So Consider this talk page before re-editing Anirudh (composer).

Thanks & Regards ARMFR4GR (talk) 02:30, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request to refer to the composer by his full name (Anirudh Ravichander) as often as possible

[edit]

My name is Anirudh, and there are thousands of other Anirudhs in South India as well as in North India and the name list page Anirudh (given name) also suggests that there are atleast 10-12 famous Anirudhs and more are likely to come up in the future. Possibly even in Tamil cinema field itself.

To refer to the composer by his mononym as if there are no other Anirudhs in this world is unfair to everyone else in this world named Anirudh. It also spells out a possible sacrilege against the original Anirudh who was the grandson of Lord Krishna. Moreover, in Tamil history too there was a Chola minister known as Anirudh Brahmarayar who also appears in Kalki Krishnamurthy's _Ponniyin Selvan_ and might possibly make appearances in Mani Ratnam's films.

Please ensure that Anirudh Ravichander is mentioned in full name in picture captions and in the beginnings of paragraphs/sections. Anirudh131819 (talk) 06:42, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I myself had made such changes in this page wherever required and as much as possible. I kindly request all the Anirudh Ravichander fans not to roll back my changes thereby erasing the possibility of the rise of another Anirudh by making a single Anirudh too much popular. Please give a greater importance to the name of Anirudh instead of giving importance to a single particular person named Anirudh. Anirudh131819 (talk) 11:30, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Anirudh131819 How many Anirudhs are there in the world is irrelevant here. We only care about those who are notable (ie people with a wikipedia article). As far as I can see there's only one notable composer named Anirudh, thus the page title 'Anirudh (composer)'. -- Ab207 (talk) 06:56, 30 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Anirudh (composer)Anirudh Ravichander – Guess I was wrong to open the previous RM, using the rationale that his YouTube channel simply read "Anirudh". Now it reads his full name, and media reports continue to use his full name. Besides, Anirudh is not just a composer but also sings and occasionally acts. I don't think you should move Ananya Birla to Ananya (musician) because of her YouTube channel. Kailash29792 (talk) 04:58, 4 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Kailash29792 Totally agreed. Please proceed. Anirudh131819 (talk) 12:19, 4 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
