Some sources say 1926, some say 1924. These discuss it - [1], [2]. The talk page of the German WP article seems quite definite that it was 1926, and she was aged only 17 at her Konblenz debut in 1943. Whatever, we ought to make some mention of the discrepancy between sources. -- Jack of Oz ... speak! ... 00:24, 30 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Both Grove and Opera News definitely give her birth year as 1924. I haven't seen any sources of equal credibility give a definite 1926 date. Neither www.longevitys.com or www.findagrave.com are what I would consider reliable.4meter4 (talk) 05:48, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
AllMusic, generally regarded as reliable, cites 1926 here. I know the above comments are over a decade old, but there are definitely discrepancies that need investigating further, or at least acknowledging, in the article. Thanks. - Derek R Bullamore (talk) 13:02, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
