Split Suggestion

[edit]

I've noticed that someone has suggested that the list of games be broken off from the main article. I personally have some reservations about that at this time. I'm inviting people to come forward and talk about this, so we can reach a consensus on whether or not this is necessary. Theorycreation (talk) 19:24, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I just think that it takes up a large amount of space while providing little actual content. Linking it at the bottom in a See Also section will trim the fat, so to speak. Then, in its own article, you can provide a small synopsis of each game (brief plot summary, major differences between previous games, platforms, etc.) as well as a link to the main article for each game. I feel like that's cleaner than the current situation. Ninety (talk) 15:26, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Given that and the size guidelines they lay out for splitting, I now think that it is appropriate to split the articles. If anyone has any objections, I invite them to further discuss them below. Theorycreation: Create Truth to Destroy the Lies (talk) 21:25, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I just want to put in my two cents here, but I think we can cut down the majority of clutter without having to split off the section entirely, seeing as it's sometimes done in compromise with other articles that suffer from similar clutter issues. If we limit the directory primarily to console titles (phones are platforms, not consoles) and leave out the sequels we could still give viewers a general idea of the scope of the game universe. --Fatalyst (talk) 06:52, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Split declined. The article is not long enough or developed enough to require a split. The article is about the game series, so it would be expected that the games would be discussed within the article. What is required is that the section is developed in prose to provide some information and context for the list of games. We already have a category - Category:Armored Core - to provide a basic list of the games. SilkTork ✔Tea time 20:00, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Armored Core VI?

[edit]

An entry for Armored Core VI has been added to the list of games in the series, but I can't seem to find anything on it through Google or the official AC website. Can anyone put a source on the page confirming the game? 66.171.208.193 (talk) 21:08, 10 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Armored Core. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Hidden advertisement

[edit]

In the legacy part, there is a URL that redirects to what seems like an Indonesian poker website. This kind of formatting is very weird for Wikipedia and it looks like one of those advertisements you could find on forums years ago. I'm suspecting this is unauthorized promotion but I'll leave it to someone more competent than me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:E34:EE80:6450:346D:7A12:E03E:3CD (talk) 21:26, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Music of the franchise

[edit]

hay, so I heard that one guy has been the main composure for the music of the games senes the beginning of the armored core franchise. I personally don't know if this is true or not, but I do feel that if it was shold be mentioned briefly as I feel that it's almost a form of achievement. This information may also be outdated as of AC6 as that game sounds drastically different from what I've listed to of the others. 2601:603:4B7F:5F10:8821:6E94:7469:4756 (talk) 11:51, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
