[edit]Here is a link substantiating the fact that Rooney won the money that he used to buy the team.

The Succession Box is kind of useless. Who would have thought that the 1964 team came after the 1963 and before the 1965! What does it add?--BillFlis 03:13, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
Writing that someone was "Pittsburgh through and through" may work in a sports column, but in an encyclopedia article. "Shockwaves" doesn't really work either. Swatson1978 17:42, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
The Dan Rooney link in the early biography incorrectly leads to Art's son not his father. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.75.99.220 (talk) 04:34, 17 September 2012 (UTC)
Political Affiliation?
[edit]I've heard both that he was a staunch Republican and a Democrat. Given his personality, I very much doubt he would have changed his political affiliations. Anyone know for sure? Should this be included? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.49.34.200 (talk) 03:19, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Why the heck does it say "Head Coaching Record" in the sidebar?
[edit]Is that right? I thought Chuck Noll coached all those teams. (24.131.65.135 (talk) 05:28, 2 February 2013 (UTC))
W&J College
[edit]A Pittsburgh Post-Gazette article from 1988 (at the time of his death) entitled "Steelers' Art Rooney in retrospect" states that "Rooney later attended Georgetown and Duquesne universities and Washington & Jefferson College." I was unable to find any other source indicating that Rooney had attended Washington & Jefferson College. That didn't appear in any of his obituaries, nor could I find it in Rooney: A Sporting Life. According to a college archivist at Washington & Jefferson, "I checked our Archives and could not find any record of his attendance here." It's unclear where the author of the 1988 article got his information, but I can't find confirmation anywhere.--GrapedApe (talk) 12:13, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
