Alan Knott

[edit]

Taylor was not discarded. He was given a test at the end of the successful Ashes winning tour. Knott was not happy. I have amended your article for small inaccuracies.JimBakken (talk) 20:30, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Substitute in Lord's test?

[edit]

Didn't he make an appearance in an Ashes test at Lord's in the late 80s? The keeper got injured and Bill Athey put the gloves on for a bit, but Taylor was int eh ground and the Aussie captain allowed Taylor to come on as a substitute fielder. I beelive Taylor ran a sports shop in Alsager after his retirement, but I dont' know how easy that would be to source. David Underdown (talk) 12:01, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have included the first part, not sure what he did after retiring. S.G.(GH) ping! 14:09, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
