- Comment: While I did edit the article, I wasn't a huge part in the expansion. All 3 of my edits were relatively minor: capitalizing the first letter of the short description, adding a line break so an image file wouldn't mess up a section heading and fixing a misspelling (contary to contrary). Basically, what I'm saying is that I don't think my inclusion is all that important among all of these other editors who contributed so much more to actual content expansion. - Comment I included all of the recent contributors. It takes a village to raise a child. Credited those who helped to improve it in the recent campaign! WP:DYK is not a Zero sum game. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 17:01, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
- Comment Okay, I'm okay with your explanation. I usually try to improve the TAFI if I'm around and I can, but I take no issue with recognizing every recent contributer; gradual improvements by numerous editors is one of the reasons I like TAFI so much. Clovermoss (talk) 17:21, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
- I totally agree. WP:TAFI Having the community get together and collaborate! It's a Barn raising in the finest sense. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 17:30, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
- Sorry folks, this article is an expansion of an existing article and does not meet DYK requirements in that it has not been expanded five-fold. It was 1060 characters before expansion and is currently 3637, so it has way to go! Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:14, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
- User:Cwmhiraeth When I moninated it, it was much larger. Thereafter material was removed. I'll try to expand it. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 13:36, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
- It has been over three weeks with no work on expanding the article; the minimum expanded size is 5300 prose characters, which means an extra 1663 characters need to be added. It will be a month on 12 August, a week from now; if nothing has happened by then, this will be marked for closure. I hope we see some progress soon. BlueMoonset (talk) 03:42, 5 August 2019 (UTC)

- There have been no edits in the past nine days, and no additions for over a month. Marking for closure as unsuccessful; 5x expansion has not been achieved (only about 3.5x). BlueMoonset (talk) 14:43, 14 August 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Just discovered some 5-mm long, white worms eating through shelves and books in my house in California. None of the insects described in this article appear to match. 76.90.237.99 (talk) 15:57, 12 February 2015 (UTC)

Refs in section headings?
[edit]There are several sections under "Other book-eating insects" that have refs in their headings. In my opinion it looks bad, especially when it shows up in the table of contents, but I'm not seeing any other good place to put them. It also looks to be discouraged by MOS:HEAD. Thoughts? Copyvio in management section
[edit]There are some significant copyright issues in the management section (which look to be added by LizzieMack). I'll see what I can do about them (I might have to end up reverting/heavily condensing most of the section), but I thought I'd note it (and ping her) here.
