Transfer
[edit]The transfer will not be official until the window opens on 1 July, therefore he is still at Sporting, and therefore the article should state that he plays for sporting, and to only state that he plays for Southampton when the window has opened TeaLover1996 Talk to me ☏ 16:41, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
- The player has signed a contract with his new club and this can be verified by multiple sources. It really seems overly-officious and pedantic to wait until 1 July update this article. And besides the BBC transfers page lists the transfer, and does not mark it with an asterisk, which it does when transfers are not official until 1 July. Orphaned references in Cédric Soares
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Cédric Soares's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "bbc":
- From 2014–15 Chelsea F.C. season: "BBC Sport – Filipe Luis: Chelsea sign Atletico Madrid defender for £15.8m". BBC. 18 July 2014. Retrieved 28 July 2014.
- From UEFA Euro 2016 final: McNulty, Phil (11 July 2016). "Portugal 1–0 France (AET)". BBC Sport. Archived from the original on 10 July 2016. Retrieved 11 July 2016.
- From Issa Diop (footballer): Stone, Simon (19 June 2018). "Issa Diop: West Ham sign Toulouse defender for club record £22m". BBC Sport. Retrieved 15 June 2018.
- From Kieran Tierney: McNulty, Phil (1 August 2020). "Arsenal 2–1 Chelsea". BBC Sport. Archived from the original on 1 August 2020. Retrieved 2 August 2020.
I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. Feel free to remove this comment after fixing the refs. AnomieBOT⚡ 19:32, 5 June 2023 (UTC)
