Lesbian rumors

Is she dating anyone?

Untitled

[edit]

Psoriasis is not an infection. Psoriasis is a disease which affects the skin and joints She can't be 21 if she was born in 1975. She'd be at least 30.

i think she should stay cause i just finished watching antm and she does win. if u want proof ill tell you at the ending of the show after credits she has a photoshoot with tyra and tyra says "Caridee is completly real what u see is what u get"

I don't know why anyone is refuting this page. She won the competition.

The page was in AFD days before the ending of the show. At the time she was NN. --Brian (How am I doing?) 23:42, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Caridee was born in 1975 ... and she's 21?

[edit]

This can't be correct information. Does anyone know exactly how old she is, so we can get an exact date? Hozombel 02:48, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

She was born on May 22nd 1985, she is now 25 years old —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.172.241.108 (talk) 02:17, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edit

[edit]

While there are many editors working on this page, please remember to keep the wording encyclopedic. Adjectives like 'bubbly' do not belong unless they are cited/sourced quotes. Also please refrain from adding text copied from other websites. I have made changes to make this article more encyclopedic, and encourage others to do the same. If you made any additions, please cite sources or provide links to back up any claims added. Thanks! --Brian (How am I doing?) 23:42, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Notable events...

[edit]

They have to be integrated into the main article; otherwise, they're just trivia. SKS2K6 00:10, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, just find a way to do it that does not use weasle words, does not violate the Neutral POV and does not use the fluff adjectives (such as bubbly). -00:14, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

But I don't get the difference between my paragraph and that list. Yes, I do need sources, which I'm looking for, but that list is also unverified. SKS2K6 00:17, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Your paragraph used weasle words, which were cut out for the list. I have reworded this now so it's not a list, does not have weasle words, does not need cited sources, and does not use fluff adjectives. --Brian (How am I doing?) 00:19, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
True. But they need a context. Would I have to cite video footage? Or are recaps fine? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by SKS2K6 (talkcontribs) 00:21, 8 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]
Why do they need Context? This is an encyclopedia...not a gossip mag. Please keep that in mind -Brian (How am I doing?) 00:24, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I said that because her personality was so over-the-top, it got her into trouble. Jay Manuel noted that she did not take direction well for the wind tunnel photoshoot. During the final runway challenge, she was chastised for not showing off the dress enough and being too over-the-top. She was also criticized for the thing with Nigel Barker because she was inappropriate. She didn't fight with him; she just made a bad joke. That is all I wrote. I did not say that she was the best contestant ever, nor did I say she was horrible. I was simply writing down what happened on the show. I don't know how this qualifies as "gossip mag". SKS2K6 00:26, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Edit: for the wind tunnel photoshoot, she didn't take direction at all, possibly putting her in a position of self-endangerment, which is why her "over-the-top"ness is brought up. It was also mentioned during the finale. SKS2K6 00:27, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Un-needed content. Leave it for the Gossip mags. If you need to have some direction in how a page should look then view James Buchli. Look, I undesrtand you are all hyped about her but this is not a mag that explores every nuiance of someone. We touch the surface and give just a bit of information. There is no need for all kinds of 'context' --Brian (How am I doing?) 00:33, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Mariah Carey. Mandy Moore. They're pretty in-depth. And they're feature articles. I realise your point, honestly. And I'm not getting mad or anything. I just think that right now, Top Model is all she has, and her personality is notable because that's partially why she won, according to Tyra. SKS2K6 00:36, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If Top Model is all she has, then leave the article a stub. We don't need to go into WHY she won. That she won, that she was the first blonde to win ANTM, that she had a few notable events is something worth mentioning. Everything else, right now, is just 'fluff' and unneeded. I pointed out James because he was picked over the other shuttle applicants for his unorthidox flying skills and thinking skills. Even though they were 'dangerous' they won him a spot on the shuttle team. No need to put that information down though. We just need 'facts'--Brian (How am I doing?) 00:39, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Top Model

[edit]

Please don't put tons of unnecesary information about top model,I'm working in this article too, so lets do a great job. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Thelastnigth (talkcontribs) 00:29, 8 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Cite Sources/weasel wording.

[edit]

Please, I know that many people are working on this page however it seems that those who are do not have very much wikipedia experiance.

When adding a sentence such as:

It was witnessed that she had completed filming in the 2 hours right before rushing back to the lofthouse, packed her bags and leave for Barcelona, Spain with the other five remaining girls in the competition.

...the sentance starts off with "It was witnessed". Who witnessed it? What article was written that states this? Where are the independent, reliable, third-party sources confirming this? Also the entire sentence needs to be rewritten as it is unencyclopedic.

If you are going to add anything, leave a link to the source at the end of the sentance so we know where you found it.

Weasel wording is also being used repeatedly.

Ultimately, however, it can be argued that it was her strong personality that won the judges over, especially in comparison to the other finalist Melrose, whose personality the judges were unsure of.

The part "it can be argued" is in the same vein as "It is often disputed that". Also, how do you know the judges were unsure? For someone that has never seen ANTM, how would they know this wasn't just some fabrication of another user? Sources have to be cited.

Finally, I dislike to critizize new editors as I am far from perfect (especially with my spelling) but if you are unsure of how an encylopedia article should sound/be phrased, then please take a look at a hardcopy encyclopdiea.

In one particular judging panel, CariDee was required to "hide dizzily" (a test of expressiveness), her performance ultimately doubling over the judges.

"In one particular judging panel"? When? What episode?

"Her performance ultimately doubleing over the judges" completely unacceptable for wikipedia. Total re-write is needed.

In episode 9, cycle 7, CariDee was required to "hide dizzily". This was a test of her expressiveness which greatly admused the judges.

Much better and fits how wikipedia phrases things. Now I have no idea what episode that performance was, but the example of HOW it should be phrased is valid. CORRECT!

I hope this helps our newer editors understand their mistakes, and provides them idea on how to create better additions. --Brian (How am I doing?) 22:08, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Picture

[edit]

I don't know if people will be able to find free use images. But just in case: any picture from the CW is not usable as it's copyrighted. That includes all photoshoot pictures before, during, and after the show. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by SKS2K6 (talkcontribs) 02:59, 10 December 2006.

Yes, this is absolutely true. WP's Fair Use policy says we can use images only if a free alternative could not be made to replace it. Now in most cases, a free alternative could be made — someone could see her at a publicity event and take a picture, etc. (If it is exceptionally difficult to get a picture, i.e. the person is in jail for life, etc, then that is a different case.) Please see Template:promophoto for more details. I am once again removing the pic from the page. tiZom(2¢) 17:09, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, but we are not having an edit war over this. The image we have is an unfree image. That means that it is copyrighted by someone else (the CW, CariDee's agency, whoever it may be...it is still copyrighted by someone), and the image could potentially be replaced by a free image (e.g. a fan takes a picture of her walking down the street). I am reverting this. Please do not put it back. tiZom(2¢) 15:42, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
WireImage is a COMMERCIAL company that needs to be paid for usage of their pictures. Images need to be free. The only way images are free (of famous people) is for someone not being paid to take a picture of them to take a picture of them and post it up on a site and basically say, "I have no right to this image." SKS2K6 02:53, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't the current picture from here? SKS2K6 16:34, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What about using CariDee's cover on Seventeen magazine if anyone can find it? CrossingGuard 00:52, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Her Seventeen picture can't be used, because magazine covers cannot be used as fair use for the person on the cover. (In other words, it can be used for the Seventeen magazine article, but not for Caridee.) SKS2K6 18:38, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have no idea where it says that MySpace pictures have no copyright on them. Is this true???? SKS2K6 20:07, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

CariDeeEnglish.net

[edit]

I have removed this fansite repeatedly because it doesn't meet WP:EL. It is full of pictures that do not have copyright info, it has no additional info on top of what's here, and it is full of adds everywhere. Basically, it is not all that informational. And since only one person has (repeatedly) inserted the site, it's basically link spam. But maybe I'm in the wrong, so I would like to bring it up in the talk.... Fair use rationale for Image:CarideewithTyra.jpg

[edit]

Image:CarideewithTyra.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:05, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
