Truth about belief in prostitution and drinking

[edit]

Is it true that he believed and taught that hard drinking and hiring prostitutes was an essential part of martial arts training? Check out this. User5802 (talk) 00:27, 1 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Standards in the article

[edit]

If possible, I would like a second opinion in regards to removing the clean-up notation before doing so myself. I also like anyone who owns the books noted in the "See Below" section to possibly expand the article with the related information. Iamzander777 (talk) 17:59, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I believe it is safe to remove the link to Chatan Yara under the Teachers section. It is a well known fact that Chatan Yara died 115 years before Chotoku Kyan was born. Adding Yomitan Yara as a possible teacher, with the request for further citations. --TerrySoucy (talk) 15:14, 9 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

First Son or Third Son of Chofu Kyan

[edit]

I believe that Kyan was actually the third son of Chofu Kyan, not the first stated in this article. See The Essence of Okinawan Karate by Shoshin Nagamine. I will make this change, and trust others find this is ok. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Desparoz (talkcontribs) 09:53, 20 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
