No References?

[edit]

This topic was quite popular in the Chinese media. I'm surprised that nobody has any reliable references to cite. Anybody up for it? Mc3409 20:27, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He is listed as being a member of the Triads, but there is no mention of any Triad affiliation in any of the sources listed. A Chinese gangster who is from Hong Kong isnt an automatic member of the Triads just like an Italian gangster isnt an automatic member of La Cosa Nostra. Please remove or site a source. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Meishern (talkcontribs) 06:22, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Contradiction

[edit]

What's this person's name? Cheung Chi Keung or Cheung Tze-Keung? --85.5.89.139 20:10, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

張子強 is his name. Either of the above are correct anglicizations depending on which dialect of Chinese pronounces those characters. SchmuckyTheCat

Was he sentence for 18 Years

[edit]

It says he was sentenced for 18 months. Should it be 18 years (according to the chinese wiki version)?

Who was actually held hostage?

[edit]

In the sentence under the heading "Kidnappings", in the reference to the most famous kidnapping, I think that the sentences below are not clear. As a case in point, "Li's own house" presumably refers to the father, not the son. Could someone please check this?

"On 23 May 1996, he kidnapped Victor Li Tzar-kuoi, son of Li Ka Shing, [...] Cheung admitted he followed Li Ka-shing, then held him hostage in the Li's own house for three days until the ransom was paid.[3]"
