I bet this is an instance where you really wish we had the capability to edit an edit summary.... The question is: are we treating it merely as a caption, or as the title of the work? If it's the latter, the exact wording should be used, including things such as the date format. If we're treating it as a caption, then it shouldn't be in italics (other than the ship's name).
