Typo in page name?

Name
[edit]Should we use the Polish name (Czarne Oceany) or the unofficial English translation (Black Oceans)? Unofficial, as in, the book has not been translated to English yet, but it has been mentioned in some English discourse under the translated name. My reading of Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(books)#Title_translations suggests English title is preferrable. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:27, 4 September 2022 (UTC)

Czarne oceany → Black Oceans – English name seems preferable per Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(books)#Title_translations. It should be uncontroversial (it's a simple title and it doesn't have alternate translations in English discourse). Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:31, 4 September 2022 (UTC)
- Support, use of English title makes sense Marcelus (talk) 08:42, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
- Support. There doesn't seem to be a clearly established English title for this book in reliable sources; consequently, WP:UE tells us to
translate [the title] if this can be done without loss of accuracy and with greater understanding for the English-speaking reader
. In this case, accuracy is preserved and understanding is improved, so in my view there's a clear case for translating the article title to English. The proposed move would also fix the MOS:TITLECAPS issues with the current title. ModernDayTrilobite (talk • contribs) 20:50, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
