Orange Oprah inclusion
[edit]Gossip websites and magazines refer to her as "the orange Oprah" for some reason. Perhaps that warrants a mention, even if it's a singular new "trivia" section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Macshill (talk • contribs) 21:19, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
- Have you seen the color of her skin? It's so abnormally orange in pictures and they call her Oprah because she supposedly gives good advice to Lindsay's friends. As if I'll believe that... K-K (talk) 17:38, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
- LOL they call her "Orange Oprah" because she's orange and was dellusional enough to think she was going to be the next Oprah... lol --Duphin (talk) 13:28, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

Dina Lohan went to Calhoun HS in Merrick Long Island. She was on the gymnastics team and also was a serious dancer while attending school there. She was not promiscuous and had long dark hair and kept herself well manicured although not quite the beauty that her daughter Lindsay was. Her family were of lower middle class income. They were " nuvo riche" pretenders who put on aires to make an attempt to appear more well off then they actually were. This was a very common "potlatch" practice in the Manhattan suburban bedroom community of Merrick NY. But her personal life was very frugal and limited in resources except for her dance training which was intense. She lived in a virtual closet and slept on a cot basically. Her parents doted on her more so then her brother who appeared more geeky than she did. At the age of 16 her parents gave her a coming out party at the swank Garden City Hotel. This was a rare event for someone North of the Mason Dixon line and more beguiling considering her parents limited resources. It was quite apparent that she was groomed by her own parents to be a star or at the very least a stage mom. She married younger than most girls from long Island and seemed to have a direction in life and that included he daughter Lindsay.

[edit]{{edit semi-protected}} Not sure how to do this. But their second child is Michael LOHAN jr. NOT Michael DOUGLAS jr.

Given that Dina's track record as an "actress" consists of a few uncredited appearances in Lindsay's movies, I'm wondering if it's really appropriate to refer to her as an "occasional actress". Should this be struck, leaving only "television personality"?72.38.193.194 (talk) 22:48, 20 December 2012 (UTC)
